Our Christmas performance of 'Hey Ewe!' Well done everyone!
We found time for some reflective prayer in all the business of Christmas.
In Science, we have been exploring the properties of materials.
Class 2 had a lovely reflective morning with Nikki creating feathers to go on doves. They were decorated with the theme of peace and thankfulness in creation.
In science Class 2 have been learning about animals including humans. As part of this they were learning how to keep healthy, including exercise, food and washing. They did the glitter bugs experiment which highlights the need to wash hands. Following on from this we found out the difference between washing hands with and without soap.
While the girls were away at rugby, the boys from Class One and Class Two had a morning of lego fun. They started in pairs creating models from templates. Some were deceptively tricky. It took a lot of team work, concentration and perseverance to complete them. After break they were then given the challenge to create a lego bridge. The bridge had to be wide enough to span across a paper road, and tall enough for the toy car to fit underneath. The challenge then got harder as they were tested for strength. We were amazed how strong some of the bridges were!
